Hard-working full-time employee, mother of 3, wife of 1, and a junkie of ability. I take pride in the fact that I do not have to depend on someone else to get something done. If it needs to be done and I think I can do it, I do. Next to my family, one of the greatest joys in my life is learning how to do new things. I'm not too concerned with knowledge being power but I revel in it being independence.
I've never really labeled myself an artist. I've always thought of art as being something to be looked at - not used. I like to make useful things. I am a creator. A "Free-Range" one because I do not limit myself on what I create and what I create it with. I do a little bit of everything and I'll try anything. I like to work with metal, wood, cars, electronics, etc. I have an affinity for lighting so I'm usually always working on a lamp. Each lamp I make is created with random parts and pieces I have obtained over time so no 2 lamps are exactly alike. I never really know how something I'm making is going to turn out until I'm done with it.
